The issue here is not religion or taking your kid to church too much. The issue here is the government being able to tell parents how to raise their children. This should NEVER be allowed other than in abuse situations. The problem is that it is a slippery slope. Today it is about taking them to church – tomorrow it is about taking away your other parenting choices and they are molded into the way the government wants them. They should NEVER have that power.

Making ur child attend church isn’t forcing religion on em. Church should teach positive things 2 kids during their developmental stages, like honesty, get along w/ others, help the less fortunate, treat people w/ respect & dignity…. Parents r supposed to look out 4 best interests of their kids, & obviously make decisions 4 em on a gradually diminishing basis as they grow up.
