He adds that “we need to go back to the day when parents saw somebody foolin’ around – it wasn’t your child, but… they’ll whoop you anyway… Or at least they’ll tell your parents…”
ummm . . . funny … ummm . . . funny how he turned into a preacher. not the message. i agree with this part, but the tone. i’m surprised he didn’t start saying, “Welll . . . ” and “Can I get a witness . . . “

His mother was … His mother was white. . . and almost all of Congress is white- basically 90%. . . so be more specific. I think “we” (if you are white) are totally in. . . as opposed to being left out.
Why would he? He … Why would he? He knows his audience. He is a talented speaker. This is why Bush had SEVERE issues. He did not have a speech writer that wrote for audiences in fact I wonder if he had one. White liberals would not relate to the same rhetoric that the NAACP would. I love it, I live in DC and I date black men so for this white liberal “I get it.”
But Lord how I wish … But Lord how I wish that people would start caring about other people’s kids. . because of the 40 or so kids I “follow” (keep an eye on/mentor/”root for”) I know they could use every single person in this community. . . more so some black males. I mean I am basically a pretty cool white girl, but I am limited. . . just tryin’ to keep it real

This is not going to happen because parents are now threatened w/ State intervention for using corporal punishment even at home, let alone at school they way they used to to in support of teachers…and touch somebody else’s kids?… Please!

In my Atlanta neighborhood , I return from work many at times to see 6,7, 8 to 12 year old kids playing outside in the dark sometimes as late as 11:30 at night instead of studying or being safe indoors. I always ask myself where are the parents??
