Im a survivor of foster care, I hated every minute of it, I lost all faith in people and anyone I was suppose to put all my trust into, who only just lied to me. I was only 7 then, I was in care for about two years, I went home a depressed child, nobody at home took notice much but were only relieved I made it home alive and that I was saved from being adopted. Through the system’s care. I was abused physically, metally and emotionally, I was an aboriginal child makin it tha much hrder on me.

Out of 32 kids I grew up with in care, there is only 3 of us left alive today. it’s not about self pity. I am glad
I went threw in foster care. They were the defining moment that made me who I am today.
Had what happened to me not happened I would not be who I am today.
It’s not about self pity it’s about making sure all kids in care get a chance at life… not just the lucky ones.. or in my case the fighting ones…

hy, you may be right about foster care in this prospective but in another theyere are good foster carers too, i have had the same foster carer for 11 years know and ya knoo she is the perfect mother for me i wisshh that she was my reall mum as i only want her around she makes me feel soo secure and when i get older as i am only 14 i want to help children in these situations that are in care and help them bee better people, and i will be there for them no matter wahtt ,, x

I lived this life…I am 54 now….still noticing the mannerisms and habits that formed so long ago…it’s all still part of me…but I choose now…not someone else…and all I want to do now is help the helpless…the ones coming up behind me.

I know the true scam behind it all, I’ve watched as my nephew grows sicker and sicker everyday, as they force feed him food he is allergic to because he’s “fine”. As I have to sneak to a public group just to see him again. As everyday I miss him and wonder if he is okay. And when I do see him he throws up all over me every single time. Should an infant be that sick? Should a 6 month old baby who has an allergy to dairy be force fed dairy products because its “cheaper” for the foster parent?

A lot of people think the ministry is in the right, that they never lie. They do, they call me a druggie even though i have never touched a drug in my life. They say I am abusive even though i would never hurt my son. They call me an alcy even though i hate alcohol all together. you wanna know something, among those stories of bad foster care, there are good ones. I have been in the foster care since i was 7, i have been to 2 different familes that didn’t work out. BUt then they found me a real family….who i am still with today and will remain with. You should look on the bright side….the glass shouln;t be 1/2 empty rather than full.

CPS should be a last resort. But instead it’s a first resort… most children in care have extended families… but CPS thinks kidnapping them..and not letting them see their family ever again is good… for them..means more money for CPS… CPS no matter the intentions is a horrible fate to have to suffer as a child at the hands of such people who mistaken themselves for gods…. Please don’t generalize all foster parents as abusive. Instead become a good foster parent. NEVER-MIND you are probably incapable of being a good foster parent because you come across in this video as a little too negative and narrow-minded for the job. That wouldn’t be healthy for the foster child’s self esteem.

CHILD means Congregations helping in Love and Dedication, the law was passed in 2003 to get churches to take on loving these little ones, Like it was in the beginning, until sep. of church and state, after all we heard about CPS yes we were scared, but God is doing an amazing work in our family and lot’s of other families! A lot is changing for these little ones for the better! And YES we will fight for these little ones!!

I amd a foster/adopt Parent, going through the Faith Based side of CPS, I know my family,We love these little ones,including our children, We are doing something about this mess, we are stepping up and saying “NOT ON OUR WATCH, WILL THESE LITTLE ONES BE HURT!” Not all foster families are bad, you try to tell a foster family that love these little ones that they can’t adopt the little girl/guy that they cherish, and see how it breaks their heart! Tell me why the parents don’t choose their children over drugs or alcohol? It’s a choice! But too many people have excuses on why they do what they do. They could say” You know what, I am going to choose to give my children the best and not hust them, but rather I will love them! We have four children and we have struggled, but together in love we have made it through Christ Jesus!

I think you understood what he meant by not profitable to help the family, but just in case….It’s not profitable to the organizion. The system is set up to fail. The better that they (TRULY) do their jobs, the less jobs their will be, within the system. However, they have becomed a prospering corporation that entangled many other corporations to help them grow. To a state, now, where the federal government offers incentives for them to expand the “corporation.”

Actually it`s profitable to help the family if it costs at least $75,000/child/year for foster care, & then if 70% of these kids end up in prison as another person`s video stated, the price becomes extremely high compared to paying a family`s electric bill so they kids aren`t taken away b/c the family`s too poor. Or a rehab. program which shouldn`t take years to complete. Or even paying for 4 yr college for a homeless family wouldn`t add up to the cost of foster care. It must be about control.
