First of all as an evangelical Christian, I commend her for making the correct choice not to abort. Second I am disappointed she made the wrong choice about having unmarried sex in the first place. But now that she as made these choices, what is the best choice for the baby? Sarah says her daughter will marry the father and keep the baby. I personally think this is not the best choice. Kids who get married this young, and especially under these circumstances, have an extremely high divorce rate. Children should be raised in stable two parent families. I think the best choice for Governor Palin’s daughter is to place the child for adoption through one of the many strong Christian Adoption agencies in America. Palin’s denomination, The Assemblies of God, has such an agency. There are also many independent evangelical agencies. The biggest is Bethany Christian Services. Please consider this option. The daughter and her boy friend can then mature a little before making the huge decision to marry.

Hello everyone! I am considering domestic Infant Adoption. I was just wondering how common disruptred or "failed" adoptions are in which the birth parent(s) change their mind. Do most families go through one or two before they are matched with their son or daughter? I have been doing so much research to try and get a rough idea as to how common it is but I have not been successful. Thanks so much!

You will not find the exact number of parents who decide to parent their children after earlier considering adoption at some point. Remember, it’s a GOOD thing when children get to remain within their own families. To answer your question, I would guess the rate is as high as the number of PAP’s or AP’s who think they want to adopt and then later return the child, before or after finalization, because it’s not what they wanted after all.

If you are certain you want to adopt and it’s a real concern for you that it finalizes, then I would recommend only considering children who are already legally free for adoption in the first place. You will find them in foster care. Contact your state’s department for more information. The rates are 0% of parents later changing their minds & Parenting their own children after their parental rights have already been terminated. Just please don’t be one of those AP’s who commit to a child, then change their minds & disrupt the adoption. Devastating for the children & that’s who Adoption is really about, right? Good luck.

All of the pocket pets that I sell should be quite small…. typically animals 5 lbs and under. They should be mammals. They should not be wild animals, but domestics instead. Exotic type pets would work but not anything like tigers, monkeys, or reptiles. Any more ideas?

I have an idea….why don’t you turn your store into a rescue instead of perpetuating the myth that by adding the term "pocket" means they’re easy to care for. There are plenty of these animals that are in need of homes at shelters.

I’m saying children’s clothing because children’s clothing,especially girl’s clothing has gotten inappropriate. Stores sell low-cut shirts and short-shorts to girls under 11. I find that to be a disgrace. It’s even more disgusting when these parents allow their girls to wear this stuff and buy it for them.

I’ve been a mom for 29 years to 4 kids. I guess I can’t agree that children’s clothing is a controversial subject. I might have some issues with what my kids want to wear (such as the same jeans every day of the week), but I certainly am not at odds with other parents over what their kids are wearing. I do think the subject of stay-at-home mom versus "working" mom is a subject that often causes people to choose sides. Another issue that can be divisive is whether to vaccinate or not vaccinate your children. That subject can be controversial. There’s also the breast feeding vs. formula feeding issue that’s good for some interesting discussion. Since most of my kids are older now, one of the things often discussed in parenting circles was the idea of forbidding our kids to drink at home until they were 21 or the idea that since the are "going to do it anyway" to let underage kids drink in your home. Now, that was a controversial topic depending on who you were with. Of course, if you want to get things going, you can always bring up the subject of spanking, that’s good for some interesting conversations as well. I guess children’s clothing is certainly small potatoes when it comes to most of these other subjects.

My family pretends they gave it to me or implies it was stolen and they cant recall what agency or region it was. They are never helpful and take offense when i have asked a question. I want to eliminate them from my search now. I was adopted when I was almost 3 and I went into the foster care system again when i was 13-17. I know it’s in that file at least. Question is.. Can I and how can I get those files now that I am an adult? It is in the Los Angeles County area.

Ensure you make your wish for open adoption clear and known to the State – have a waiver of confidentiality placed on the DSS file and with the Department of Health and keep it up-to-date with change of address etc

PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) is well known for the lengths they will go to in order to protect animals. There latest move is an ad claiming that milk causes impotence. Their latest Santa Clause ad states “Santa’s not coming this year” and shows a skinny Santa holding his pants up. Of course, there is no evidence backing up the claims made by PETA but the group isn’t known for staying within boundaries when pushing their agenda.

It’s apparent through the sales of Viagra online that erectile dysfunction is a problem effecting thousands of men. For many men this particular medical condition is not only tied to their physical health but their mental health as well and they will go to great lengths to improve their condition. It’s possible PETA’s ad may grab the attention of a few desperate men in search of a cure for their impotency but for the most part their attempts at sabotaging the dairy industry will be fruitless. What is more than likely to happen is PETA will continue to lose support for their cause as they become more and more ridiculous with their claims and actions. However, it is hard to imagine how more ridiculous they could get. This is, after all, the same organization that publicly protested the president of the United States for killing a fly.
